Two buffer packs: one for shaping, one for shine.
The mini blocks do the shaping. Each is double-sided, 100 grit for the surface of hard nails and 180 for smoothing the edges, on a foam core of 1.4 x 1.0 x 0.5 inches. Packs hold 50 or 100 blocks in four two-tone color pairs, small enough to keep a stack in a drawer of the station.
Our shine kit starts where those stop. Its 1000-grit side evens the nail surface and the 4000-grit side brings up a gloss without a top coat, with EVA foam on a plastic board, as 20 large or 50 mini blocks. In a salon every buffer goes to one client and is then thrown away, so both come by the dozen and more.
